The “Crew” Strikes a Blow for the Needy

On Saturday, August 16th, the Catholic Kids Crew held a fundraising car wash benefiting the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph. The "Crew" washed all manner of vehicles from 9AM to 2PM and collected money and canned food items. Over fifteen volunteers were on time and ready to go at 8:30 in the morning lead by organizers Breena Hughes and Felicia Taddonio, who did much of the advance planning and promotion. The final tally was over $250 in total donations. The "Crew" wishes to thank the "hired" help and especially all of those who donated so graciously to their event. Lots of fun was had by all, as can be seen by the pictures.

The organizers are in the midst of planning an early morning visit to DFW Airport on an upcoming Saturday to "Greet the Troops." Contact Breena or Felicia if you're interested in upcoming activities.
