Scott Lawson is a cradle Catholic and bonafide Texan. Scott grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He has worked in youth ministry as a full-time vocation since 1990. He began as a coordinator of youth ministry (CYM) at St. Pius X Catholic Parish in Corpus Christi. Later, he took a position as the associate director of the office of youth and young adult ministry for the diocese of Corpus Christi, where his offices were located in Laredo, Texas. After a 3-year stint in Laredo, Scott worked in a small rural parish in Kingsville, Texas called St. Gertrude. He joined the staff of St. Joseph as a full-time CYM in September of 2001.
Scott is married to his wonderful wife Nelda and they have co-created three awesome kids: Christina (19), Alexis (18), and Matthew (12). Scott's hobbies include photography, sports, electronics, walking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
