We offer sacramental preparation for First Communion in grades 6-12.
All students must attend a religious education program at St. Joseph Catholic Community for at least two consecutive years. Students coming from other parishes who attended their previous parish's religious education program must still adhere to the two consecutive years of formation at St. Joseph Catholic Community.

Students who will be entering their second consecutive year of religious education at St. Joseph AND are incoming 6-8 graders, must register and attend ThE EDGE weekly sessions each Sunday night during the school year and maintain at least a 75% or higher attendance rate. They are also required to attend seven sacramental preparation sessions for First Communion on the third Tuesday of each month (Sept. 29 through April 20). Attendance at these sessions is mandatory and only one excused absence will be allowed under extraordinary circumstances.
