Justice and Service
Engaging young people in helping and serving other people, and understanding the Gospel's call to justice through education and reflection. In other words, putting your faith into action. It's all right to spread the Gospel message by telling it to others, but actions do speak louder than words, and it's our Baptismal call to help others, whether it be by visiting a nursing home or homeless shelter. We can visit people in hospitals or teach others about starving people in Third World countries. There is so much need in the world. Sometimes the amount of need is overwhelming and we feel helpless, but we cannot allow that helplessness to become hopelessness. We need to take the needs one at a time and do as much as we can to help those in need. St. Joe Youth have organized a group called the "Catholic Kids Crew." This group is dedicating time to help those in need and volunteer throughout the community.
