Priscilla and Miro at CFW Nolan 2008
Every year St. Joe Youth attend the diocesan Camp Fort Worth (CFW). CFW is a week-long service camp for high school youth. The campers meet Catholic youth from other parishes around the diocese and work together on a variety of service opportunities during the week. They build baby beds from raw material using power tools. They visit a nursing home and play with kids at a childcare facility. They do manual labor to help the host site and they work at a homeless facility. Each night is filled with a "retreat-like" atmosphere with activities such as praise and worship music, glowing rosary, reconciliation, skits, talent show, circle of love, and the ever famous ice-cream social.
Only incoming Sophomores through graduating Seniors in high school can attend as campers. Attendance is limited to each parish that attends, so it's first-come, first registered for this event. The dates for 2010 are:
June 20-25 at Nolan High School
July 18-23 at OLQP & Notre Dame High School in Wichita Falls
